Here is the angular http doc: https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/service/$http#usage
The Android example using the portals API works with just a url and authentication. Plenty of issues with error 404 while using ionic (cordova) for android searching google. Cory
I believe the answer is var doc = new XMLHttpRequest(); I tried this from a quick QML app and I get a response when asking for domains.
I finally got it. I believe a change made earlier to my config.xml caused the issue. After reading this: http://docs.ionic.io/docs/cordova-whitelist I removed a couple lines that were added previously from a failed fix. Now a valid response is returned. This was using XMLHttpRequest not the angularjs http.get(). I will revisit the http.get before I continue on.
Appreciate the help,
